First-time visitors

First-time visitors

The crowd was down a bit tonight but that didn’t have any affect on the good time that we all had here at The Woodbine Opry.  Our first-time visitors came from Upper Michigan and Callahan, Fl.  The cake table was loaded down with all sorts of goodies; quite a variety to pick from.  Thanks to all who donate to this cause.  The half-n-half was $242.00, which wasn’t shabby at all.  We appreciate all who purchase the tickets for the drawing as that is how the bills are paid.

Those providing tonight’s entertainment were Robert McCullers, Joe Muench, Aubrey Jones, J.C. Hunnicutt, T.K. Hilton, and yours truly.  Those assisting with tonight’s needs were Tim Murray, Big John Hamilton, J.P. Lewis, Harley Harris, and DIck Young.  I truly appreciate all of these individuals for their contribution.

On this date, November 8, 2003, the Saturday night country music program had it’s first performance here at The Woodbine Opry.  As we begin our twelfth year of keeping old country music alive in Southeast Georgia I want to thank all of our fans for the support they have shown us through these years. To the musicians who have given so much of their time and energy, what can I say but a big “thank you”.  We are mighty proud of what we’ve done here on Saturday nights.

Have a good week and come back a visit us real soon.
