Saturday Night, 10-18-14

It Woodbine 10-18-14 013was a beautiful evening here in southeast Georgia and a good time was had right here at The Woodbine Opry.  Our first-time visitors were from Brunswick, Baldwin, Commerce, and Eatonton, Ga., Sebring and Palmetto, Fl., Moosehead Lake, Me., Millington, Tn., Lake Norman, NC., Pierre, SD, Lynnville, Tn.,  and Northbrook, Il.  I do hope that you all enjoyed the evening with us here at The Opry.  Thanks to all who donated to the cake table; the half-n-half was $256.00.

This week’s birthday acknowledgements included Mr. Robert McCullers, Sr, 88, and Mr. Wilbur Readdick, 94.  Mr. Readdick is the oldest living alumni of the old school.  Happy birthday to both of these fine gentlemen.

Those presenting tonight’s entertainment were Robert McCullers, Aubrey Jones, T.K. Hilton, J.C. Hunnicutt, Joe Muench, and yours truly.

Saturday Night, 10-11-14

We had a good time tonight here at The Woodbine Opry.  Our first-time visitors were from Brunswick, Woodbine 10-11-14 005Kingsland, and Hazelhurst, Ga., Fernandina Beach and Green Cove Springs, Fl.  I hope that you enjoyed your time spent with us and that you can come back.  Thanks to all who donated to the cake table; the half-n-half was $225.00.

Those providing tonight’s entertainment were Robert McCullers, T.K. Hilton, J.C. Hunnicutt, Aubrey Jones, Joe Muench, and yours truly.  Marshall Rowland was our guest this evening.

Happy birthday to Quitman Altman who was celebrating his 86th birthday tonight.  He had a good many relatives and friends join us this evening for this celebration.

We’re off now to the Moose Lodge in Jacksonville, Fl. where The Woodbine Opry Band/Saturday Night is being featured in honor for our eleven years of providing country music to this area.  Thanks to all of you who have supported us over the years.  If you’re in the area, stop by at 5051 Collins Road and have some fun with us this afternoon.

The Woodbine Opry Band will be taking it “on the road” to Jacksonville, Florida at the Lake Shore Moose Lodge, 5051 Collins Road, just off Roosevelt and I-295.

Admission is $5.00 per person.

The Moose Lodge grill is open until 4:00 with hamburgers, fries, etc. available.

Another good crowd on hand for tonight’s production of The Woodbine Opry.  Our first-time visitors were from Jesup and St. Marys, Ga., Port St. Lucie, Okeechobee, Jacksonville, and Lakeland, Fl.,  and Paducah, Ky.  I do hope that you all enjoyed your evening with us and that you’ll be able to come back again.  The half-n-half tonight was $300.00.Woodbine 10-4-14 130

Saturday Night, 9-27-14

We had a good time tonight here at The Woodbine Opry.  Our first-time visitors were from Camden County, Woodbine 9-27-14 069Douglas, and Nahunta, Ga., and one couple traveling the country “home-less” in a motor home.  I’m glad you all were able to be with us tonight and I do hope that you can come back again.  The cake table was full and thanks to all who donated to this cause.  The half-n-half was $255.00.
