I am sorry to hear about someone is not happy with our little piece of heaven on Saturday night. I hear some of the people are wanting to have gospel music being played on Saturday night. I believe if people want gospel music then move Friday night to Sunday afternoon. I can tell you this much if you mess with Saturday night you will lose a lot of people and I for one will not come. So leave well enough alone because I enjoy coming on Saturday night . We enjoy the band, the people and the atmosphere.!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Hey Hey guess who ? If you said The Brat you are 100 % correct. I was trying to catch up with the latest gossip going on ( Hum ) looks like nobody is watching or just don’t care one or the two. No better place to be on Saturday night than the Woodbine Opry . Bill had more fun than all of us put together. I don’t know how Bob puts up with all of us clowns . We have a good time every week. Good music and good people , just can’t beat it. That hat Bob was wearing I just can’t get over how good it looked on him ( Hum ) new fashion statement you think ?
That funny cute hat came from Big Lots and Bob likes it. Due to the color and checked/green for St. Patty’s, it won’t match any other clothes he wears other than St. Patrick’s and well, maybe Halloween! Fashionable, well, sorta like the fashion we used to see on the old weekly “Hee Haw” show series

Ring Alert the ring belonging to Wayne Anderson has been found. Many thanks to all for your help in finding this precious little jewel. Now if you guys are interested in this finding of the ring you may ask Wayne about the gruesome details behind his ordeal. Good morning to all of our Woodbine Opry friends. If you missed the saturday program you did miss out on a night of fantastic music The band was outstanding as always. This is a friendly reminder to all, if you are one of these people who has been hanging out by the Fountain Of Love ( water fountain ) BEWARE. I personally saw Bling Bling on the ring finger on the left hand of one of our Opry friends. No No I am not going to tell you who has the new ring with bling-bling on her finger. You all will just have to take notice and watch for the Love Bug floting in and around the building .Don’t know where the jezebel ( Annette ) was , guess she needed a break. Missed you. Ok people this is all I have for this week.

This a a TRUE Rumor to humor all: Saturday Night before the program, Bob was out back at his car to get lotion for his cracked hands. Our Opry Friend (we will keep HIM anonymous) came up to Bob and asked what he was doing. Bob showed him the five splits on one hand and was putting some ointment on them. This man said to Bob, “I’ve got some some lotion my gynecologist gave me, I’ll give you some”. Bob immediately said, “Your
gynecologist gave you-you don’t mean you have a gynecologist?” Then a dumb look came on HIS face and he told Bob, “you know that doctor that works on your skin”. Bob told HIM, “That’s a dermatologist”. The MAN said “Oh, I got my “ologist” confused”. Once again we will keep our Opry Friend anonymous, however his initials are DH (and his wife’s name is Harriett). Bob was trying to tell me this when we were were dancing but he was too tickled to finish telling it. We’re not ones to go around spreading rumors – Ha!
I heard all about her escapade!! She just needs to keep the lead out of the right foot! I still love her though and don’t want to see anything happen!! You be careful out there Miss Alice!!
I can verify what The Brat is saying cause I was standing there with them when Alice gave her the details. I could hardly believe my ears!
Ok people tune your antennas in on what I am about to tell you. I was talking to Mama Alice and she proceeded to tell me about a day out in her little white car. She was out for a little drive and singing a little song, and totality was not paying attention to her surrounding. All of a sudden Mama Alice noticed all these cars flying past her so she speeds up to keep up with them, low and behold she looks down at her speed ometer and she is going 70 mph. If you see a little white bullet coming down the road in Kingsland, Ga. that be my Mama Alice little Miss Lead Foot. Just take a step back and let her go. That is my story and I am sticking to if !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you Mama Alice
Did ya’ll get time to watch the video from Saturday night with Aubrey singing “Johnny B Goode”? Guess who made his debut on the dance floor; he was really moving. Watch and see for yourself. We had so much fun and so did our High Sheriff!
My my guess who ? If you said The Brat you are correct. I don’t know much gossip but I was told that Dee has moved back Kingsland, Ga. Now if you think you have saw someone that looks like Dee it may have been her. Maybe she will come over to Woodbine one Saturday night. We would all enjoy seeing her. Dee is one tough cookie ( you go girl ) So much for that moving on to Miss Alice. Now let me tell you she is another book all together. I know she was not feeling up par last saturday night because she was not her happy bubbly self. Now Mama you know it makes The Brat sad when you are not feeling up to par, so let us get with the program and kick that bug out of town. I love you Mama Alice.

This is NOT gossip, just good info to share with all our Opry Friends. We all do have such a great time celebrating life and events at The Woodbine Opry. While looking around in Glynn Rent-All Party Shop, they informed me that they have a 50% cost reduction of all their remaining costumes, etc. We have Valentine,s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween and other Holidays that we all enjoy sharing and getting “in the mood” with. I saw my old Roaring 40’s Halloween costume there and it’s 50% off now. Yippee! I AM GOING BACK NEXT WEEK! THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK THEM OUT TOO! If you prefer to socialize and chat with your Opry Friends or dance in the additional room opened last week for our Opry Guests, a closed circuit tv is tuned in there to see and hear the Opry Program. Of course, you will miss the “uproar” that goes on in the auditorium, but you do have that option; it is MUCH quieter in there. With the crowds we’ve been having, we now have room to accommodate all!
This is to the Brat: Sure has been quiet on here again. Did you hear last Saturday that another Opry Friend who was in one of our pictures drinking from the water fountain last fall told us he was getting married this week; last name Cook! And did you see this week’s pictures who else was drinking from this “fountain of love”; her name is Mary! Oh do you miss a lot sitting over there on your side; then again I hear a lot of “uproar” going on over there so ya’ll must be having a good time too! Where is Wayne when we need some more to talk about? And how about Elaine and H.D.?

This is a note for BOB STAATS , to start with I (The Brat) would like to commend you on how good you can keep your cool. I heard bits and pieces of talk going on behind the scenes last night. What I gathered up from last night there is a whole lot of BACKSTABBING or BACKBITING which ever way you want to call it. Bob, you and the band is giving all of us people a place to go and have an enjoyable night out to socialize and enjoy good music and most of all the dancing.
Now my message to all the people we are a loving family, we are there for each other whether it be good or bad , so come on people lets pull together and not try to cause chaos in the building. Let me start out by saying something nice to all the people at woodbine, because this maybe the only nice thing you hear on this Grapevine this year. Just remember whatever true gossip I may say about you I still love you and you did not hear it from me. Wayne, I don’t know who is trying to fix what that is not broken with the band. Don’t you know it is not nice to try and fool The Brat. Now explain yourself man. Maybe HD & Miss Elaine will quite living the high life and come on back and see us little people at woodbine. I sure hope the eyes belonging to Larry will soon be better so he will stop trying to get all of Bonnie’s attention because the girl needs to breathe a little bit. Two thumbs up Bonnie you’re doing a good job taking of Larry. He look so bad I (The Brat) could not pick on him and that is bad. Stay Warm and we hope to see all of you tonight.

Now, let me get back to the Brat, who is Barb? Well YOU instigated the “Fountain of Love”; IT is working and I’m sticking only with the facts as Sgt. Friday (Jack Webb) used to say. And as my Dad used to say, “The camera don’t lie”. If somebody is doing something evil; the camera will catch it; all in fun. Do you remember who the last three opry friends are that partook of the “fountain”? I’ll give you a clue; it worked on the last one and she was grinning like a Cheshire cat!!! The other one is well, coming along. Now Tim, did you notice the grin on his face when he drank from the “fountain of love”? It really does work-it’s a miracle!?? Bob is standing here with that “deer in the headlights” look-no clue what is going on; OH now he’s saying, “IT’S GOOD FOR BUSINESS”? We are all amongst friends.

One word ok Brat, Now for some gossip, George an Dee had to go to the ER to get Dee’s foot out of George’s behind. Geoge said it hurt but, it broke Dee’s big toe. Now how bout that for gossip.
We hope to be back this coming week ??????????????? depending on the whather. We do miss our friends at Woodbine, it is just not the same for us when we are not there. It is just like playing hooky from school it is really no fun. It is a good feeling to know we are missed. I got a message from The Jezebel and she said the other side where we all sit are having to much fun , but she don’t know who it is. Hum interesting ! Hey Brats, You missed a great time last night at the Opry. Talking about dancing to “Blue Suede Shoes, after that and during the cake raffle, your buddies over on that side of the auditorium sounded like they were in a ball game; when Bobbi won a cake, they were doing the “Go Bobbi, Go Bobbi, Go Bobbi”, then when Big John won, they were doing the “Go Big John, Go Big John, Go Big John”! Can you imagine trying to get Bobbi and Big John to hurry up? Well Big John had more to “hurry up” after-know what I mean? It was like “Getti-up, getti-up, go go go”! You missed too much fun! Hurry up and get back before we start gossiping about ya’ll.
Hey Brat: We sure have missed ya’ll since you’ve been up North these past few weeks. I have no clue as to who’s got that “rumbling and racket” going on over there but I have my suspicions. Last Saturday, Wayne mentioned how this “grapevine” was about to dry up since ya’ll have been gone. Maybe Wayne and Bobbi, Bonnie and Larry, or Elaine and H.D. can share who’s doing what over on that side. This comment is for Lois, I heard that you made the statement about Miss Alice the only way to keep her mouth closed is to put a large roll of tape on them there LIPS. I will not tell you who said it , but when Annette told me I could not believe she would tell me such gossip. I can tell you what Miss Alice said to me (The Brat) Saturday night that some of these old fogies just don`t know how to have fun . She said she was going to have her some fun while she is able. For the Brat–yes, I did say that the only way to keep Miss Alice’s mouth shut was to put tape on it!! I admit it. I even told her and she just laughed. You know that is true. She really needed more tape Monday night after our committee meeting!! She is a real sport and I love her too. We have a lot of fun don’t we. Anyone who takes us seriously is in a lot of trouble.

I believe everyone knows he LOVES WOODBINE OPRY and all the attention he gets plus all of his pranks he try’s to pull, I do declare it’s just like taking a 3 year old some where ! This is The Brat talking back at you and I personally do not know where to start with this gossip (?) Miss Alice, I do declare woman you have it going on. You have all the men folk Spell-Bound. Let me tell y`all what I witness with my own two eyes. All these men flocking to Miss Alice when she made her grand entrance into the building at woodbine. Bill was trying to sneak a little smooch from Miss Alice and Wayne happen to see what was going on and I thought he was going to fall over his own feet trying to get to her to put a stop to Bill. Then Wayne ask Miss Alice to dance a slow close dance and guess what happen then ? It all broke loose on the dance floor on the side that Annette is sitting on. Bill tapped Wayne on the shoulder to dance with Miss Alice, Lew tapped Bill, HD tapped Lew, and then Larry could not stand it so he left poor little Bonnie standing on the dance floor with Elaine and myself (The Brat) so he could get his dance with her (Miss Alice). I am just going to give up on trying to keep Bill away from that other woman (Miss Alice). So if you missed coming to Woodbine to hear our great band play on Saturday night you not only missed some of the best music around and some of the best people you will ever meet and a whole lot laughter. I hope you had the pleasure of meeting and talking with some of our first-time visitors last Saturday, especially the couple from the south coast of England. They were so pleasant and really enjoyed their evening with us. Well I see Wayne is back in town. I sure hope sweet little Bobbie got his head cleared out so he might be able to think clearly now. Bill and I went to Woodbine Saturday night and something just was not right. After being there for a short time I realized Big John the High Sheriff was not there. Sorry to hear you and your wife has been sick. Hope to see y`all back soon. We need our High Sheriff to keep order in this auditorium.
Let me tell y`all what I saw with my own two eyes. Are you ready for this ? Miss Alice was dressed to shine and did she shine. Somebody made Miss Alice say a bad word (?) So she put tape over her lips and Bill saw the tape and thought she was saving that pair of lips for him. So he walk up to her and laid a BIG KISS on that pair of taped up lips. Miss Alice had one big smile on her face. I have news for Bill she smiles at all the men folk. Miss Alice you sure are looking good and you know I (THE BRAT) will always love you. Well this is The Brat talking to all my Woodbine friends one more time. This is a little note for Bob, I am so sorry to hear that Annette did not appreciate the time you put into trying to show her how fortunate she to not have to work in a saloon being a saloon gal and having them there old stinking cowboys coming in drinking and having to be nice them because it is part of the job. That is not a way of life for a Lady of her standards. I do believe she should appreciate you more than she does. I just wonder what all our friends think about this ? Hum interesting.
Brat: Bob did take me to Buster’s Saloon down in those hills, nothing but cowboys and oil field workers and I refused to go in. I’m not sure they didn’t have horses out back, especially since I’ve seen on their FB page a horse inside that saloon. Check that out “Buster’s Saloon” on Facebook in Sun City, Ks. Oh yeah Gloria, what a doosie of a trip, especially our honeymoon? You should be so “blessed”? that Bill takes you out there for your next anniversary-then we’ll compare notes! Ha! Annette; sounds to me like you had one fantastic trip looking at the tumbleweeds and whirly winds and miles and miles of raw landscaping and the coyotes . That had to be a trip to remember. You know Annette I do believe Wayne is going through Manopause. I saw him hanging onto Jean and Bonnie and Larry was just standing there looking at Bobbie as to say can`t you do something with him. In one of the pictures it look like Bobbie and Wayne were Arm Westling and I do believe she was getting the of him.It sure look like Miss Alice was trying to be good sitting in that seat.

Joan was helping George celebrate his birthday on the dancefloor; so as they were standing and talking there; George went to his seat. Then Bob started singing “Thanks A Lot”; Joan turned to dance with George and guess what? She was in the arms of Lew! Talk about talking; she didn’t know who was where-oh is Woodbine the place to be! I do believe Wayne is talking about the Brats. I mean the auditorium was packed so full you couldn’t fit another body on the floor. We missed the “rowdiness” that usually goes on over on your side of the floor but it was “rocking and rolling” with Larry and Bonnie, H.D. and Elaine, and Bill and Debbie. Larry and Gin were again moving it on our side, along with Glenn and Lawanda and Buddy and Annette. Bob and I finally had the chance for one dance; wow-we felt like packed sardines in a can; it was so crowded. Everybody had a really great time. If you can’t picture all that, go to the website and photobucket and see for yourself. You won’t believe it! We had fun and but we missed the Brats.

Now now to start with I can see the problem in the Staats household. If you would bite Bob toes Dingo would be out and you would be in. And yes I do know who Gin is . I do remember that ( cute) little brown dress. Yes, and as for Wonder Woman I do believe her and John hit it off ( It is getting a little warm in here ) . The band member was Herschel I believe that set the alarm off the second time . Am I right or wrong ?

OH – WOW! Did ya’ll get a look at the mugshots on that poster The Brat had last night? I’m sure glad my name and picture wasn’t on it; Bob would probably confine me to the house Friday nights if I hung out with those folks. They sure know how to rock the house! Even on Saturdays; I can feel the floor wobbling from the dancing going on over on that side of the auditorium! I wonder if that’s what caused that big crack in the dancefloor?
The crack in the floor I don`t think it`s all the rocking or rough housing on that side of the auditorium. I do believe it maybe all the Bertha Butts that has kissed the floor. I will probably be the next one to kiss it. Boy would that be a sight ? Oh we are staying very safe; Bob has been filling the hummingbird feeders and watching for them. Now he’s on the riding mower. We will be safe until next Saturday Night, for sure; but THEN, anything is possible at The Saturday Night Opry- I can hardly wait!

Hey, did ya’ll go to the videos today of last night’s Johnny B. Goode; we have our own rowdiness over our side too; I am impressed. Glenn can really dance to that tune; talking about “getting down”, I am amazed he could bring himself back up! Last week, I noticed a bounce but the young fella sprang up faster than greased lightning and most important, he was not hurt.
Those young gentlemen know how to dance and have a good time too. We are happy they feel comfortable joining us and being part of our Woodbine Friends.
Sorry i have been missed only by george. Bobbie coming to jax about 5pm, we will be busy for a few days . may be rested up by fri night, i dont know about bill & larry keep me posted!!!

Good morning to all. I had the best time at Woodbine last night. I have some good juicy gossip for all who are interested. Ok to start with did anyone notice Bonnie sporting a black cowgirl hat and all that Bling – Bling on her black jacket and the black pants she was wearing. She was the stunning lady in black if I may say so. Ok Larry I do believe you will have to step it up a notch and become the man in black ( lol ) . I just wonder if Bonnie got the switch after Larry last night ? Because he was in big trouble for something. And no I don`t know why. Now that I think about it could have been when Larry and Bill was dancing together and left Bonnie and me (The Brat) just standing there. O well what can do. Hey Brat: Well, about Miss Alice, I could hardly believe it either; I took that picture-WOW-and if walls could talk! And did you know that Tim will be gone next week and she will be on her own? Before we left last night, I heard Tim singing the words to an old T.G. Shepherd song, “Older Women Know Just How to Treat A Man”. He said he was going to Wichita; he must have been listening to some of Bob’s tall tales of his hometown and “adventures” back in “THE DAY and YESTERYEAR”? Maybe somebody ought to check out WHY Tim is going to Wichita and what’s gonna be going on at home with Alice!

MEN, I just can’t believe “HIS” choice of compliments! I decided to put a couple of low-light streaks in my hair, at home, and it didn’t turn out exactly the way it should have. So when Bob saw it; he said, “Oh, Sweetie, It doesn’t look TOO BAD”! He’s been out in the yard, digging all morning!☺
Could you please tell me that Bob is not outside digging up the yard because I know it can`t be Dingo or could it ? Hum interesting. Oh my did you take my advice and bring Dingo in and put Bob outside ? You do have a major problem my friend , we will need to think about this for a bit .
Now Brat: It’s enough that Dingo has dug up the yards;and well, yes, putting Bob out would give him time to fill those holes back in. But putting Dingo in; not much of a trade! You should have seen the photos of all my pretty porch dolls, flower baskets and decorations Dingo chewed up that had to be put in the trash. By the way, how are you and Bill doing? Do you have any annoying creatures or dogs?
I do not have any dogs or annoying creatures. Bill is house and yard trained and the only thing he is chewing up is food . He tells me he eats just encase he might get hungry. I guess this is as bad as it get over here in Florida.

Hi Brat: Thank you for your heartfelt sympathy in the loss of my debit card. I was feeling so depressed; I mean you know how unsafe it is for a woman to be “running around” with too much cash; you can’t remember how much went where. SO there I was, driving to Waycross passing by Cato’s, Maurice’s, Belk’s, the Mall, a gas station; OH that’s when it dawned on me, I only had so much cash on me and I couldn’t go much further without the fuel but what about the SHOPPING? THEN I “brainstormed” (women can do that in times of dilemma) and got excited as I suddenly realized I still had my visa, mc. ae, sp, credit cards. SO I fueled up the car with plastic money, bought a few cute things in those places I had passed by earlier and I still had the cash I left home with-WOW! When the “word” got out Saturday night at the Opry about me losing my best friend, someone asked if it was that dog HE has; it was a man of course, obviously single and uninformed. I mean what’s more important to a woman; money and credit cards or a stupid dog? All is well now that I’ve activated my new debit card. Ha!

yesterday. When the barber took him back, I
went with him and watched. As she quickly snipped
and clipped, then looked for my approval, I nodded
“that’s good”! You gotta know how Bob is; he does
not complain until it’s TOO LATE. And all I said
was “Oh yes, that’s real good, just a little more there
and back there too”!
So he has a “little v-notch at the back of his neck,

Now, after taking in all the facts, I do recall seeing Joe coming from the direction of the water fountain at the end of the hallway.? That may have “distorted” his thinking. I mean, who would have known that you were just crawling down there looking for my camera battery. While Joe was still looking in the direction of your “incident”, another “guest” musician came walking by us; he heard a little of this, and totally ignored the conversation, fancy that? He probably heard about that water fountain too, but then again, he also came from that direction. Bob says all these stories and curiosities are GOOD FOR BUSINESS! See ya’ll this evening.
Have the musicians not heard about the “water fountain”? It does crazy things to people. Some that have used it are getting married. I’m staying away. By the way, my therapist said that was good exercise for me and was proud that I didn’t need any help. I did notice that no one asked me if they could help except you. Just for everyone’s information. I GOT down on the floor to pick up a small battery that our famous photographer dropped earlier. She is the one that spotted it after everyone left. I’m also proud of myself by getting up because I’m sure the photographer couldn’t help me. She’s not bigger than a minute. All in GOOD FUN!!

Well, I also noticed Alice being “fixy” Oh, I know; I’ll ask Beverly who sits back there with her. I guess you know that there was some “romancing” with her also. Guess she got into that water fountain too! , UPDATE: two weeks ago, Beverly told us, it was too soon and the plans were off. We don’t want to lose our Woodbine Friend and that romance would have moved her away from Woodbine.

I asked her last night if she had been drinking from the water fountain and she said no then just giggled. I think something is up with her, and we need to keep our eyes and ears open!
This is for all people who love good juicy gossip. If you did not come to Woodbine on saturday night it was your loss because we had good music and a lot of fun watching Bob tell his cute little blonde joke. HaHa not funny Bob. Now for the good juicy gossip at the end of the night we were all dancing in the circle and Bill and Vera was dancing in the middle when all of a sudden she sat down in the floor. Well, Ms. Brat, I didn’t see what was going on in your part of the three ring circus, but someone asked me if I saw the woman in front of me who fell in between the seats. Now that is funny; cause I know the answer and that woman will laugh when she hears what some others? thought she was doing? I did have to help her up. Is all this good physical therapy, or not! Especially, if you can make it up off the floor! Ha! Her name is Lois Lane!??

The sweet lady by the name of Oma comes with Dick and Love has been very sick. We hope she will start feeling a little bit better so she can come back to Woodbine, she did enjoy coming and visiting with all the people. I miss you MaMa Oma so hurry back.

About the seat saving, I think it’s good to bring a halt to it as it was being badly abused by a couple of women. I would see them saving seats all over the auditorium and not for someone that was coming to sit with them. I believe there is a difference, but, as is always the case, a few ruin it for the rest.
