Saturday Night, 12-28-13

We had a full house present tonight for the last program here at The Woodbine Opry for 2013.  Our first-time visitors were from Shellman Bluff and Thompson, Ga., Jacksonville, Fl., Van Buren, Ak., Sacramento, Ca., and Syracuse, NY.  I do hope that you all enjoyed the evening with us.  The half-n-half was $253.00 and the cake table was again loaded.  Thanks to all who donated to this cause.

Those providing tonight’s entertainment were Aubrey Jones, J.C. Hunnicutt, T.K. Hilton, Robert McCullers, Dennis Williams, and yours truly.

It was a good year for the Saturday night program here at The Opry; we had 24 entertainers during the year and we gave away through the half-n-half $12,704.00.  This money set a new record for the half-n-half and I want to thank you all for purchasing the tickets, thus ensuring that the Opry will go on.

I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year.  I’m looking forward to another year with The Opry, and I hope to see you all back with us next week to start that new year.

Opry On!

I want to personally thank Bob and the band for all the good music and entertainment they have volunteered to give us each week of 2013. I also want to thank Annette for taking the videos and pictures and Bob posting to the blog twice a week!!! I do not think the program needs to be changed. The feel the structure is GREAT!! If something works, don’t try to change it. Please keep up the good work!!! Wishing you all a very blessed New Year!!!
